Deva Fest 2020

Cheshire's Family Friendly Music, Food & Lifestyle Festival Returns!

As one of the headline sponsors we may be a little biased, but we love Deva Fest!

This event is a family friendly three day extravaganza of great music, parades, shows and fabulous food and drink from local suppliers which takes place at the Chester Lakes complex three miles south of Chester City Centre just off the A55 Junction 38 where it meets the A483 Wrexham Road . The 2020 renewal has been announced for the weekend of the 14th, 15th and 16th of August. Keep your diary free!

When the promoters dreamt up the event they wanted to move away from the traditional mud-in-a-field hardcore festival and create something where their guests were at the heart of the experience. So you can catch one of their free shuttle buses from neighbouring towns and Chester City Centre to the event or there is loads of free parking if you want to drive. Once you get in the main stage is under cover in a huge big top, so there is no need to worry about a bit of rain. And also no need to worry about what the children will do when you arrive as they put on a fairground and the rides are free to use as often as you like – we are talking dodgems, waltzers….the works (you can have a go as well if you like)!

2019 was the event’s first full year and 5,000 people turned up over the weekend with 92% of visitors who filled out their survey saying they would definitely be back!

At the time of writing we are still waiting to find out who the headliners will be for 2020, but we have had a sneaky tip off the Friday will be a day full of Old School dance, Saturday will be the parade day and we have heard the word “Pirates” mentioned, and that Sunday will feature some local legends as well as a big name band……oooo the intrigue!

Oh, and legendary Chester sister bars Liquor and Co and Craft and Company are taking over cocktail duties for 2020, so if you add in some mouth watering street food hand picked by the gurus at Taste Cheshire you can see this is no ordinary festival!

WLGT says……

We loved Deva Fest last year as it was great to see so many people of all ages just really enjoying themselves! Where else can you go on fabulous rides as often as you like included in what is a really reasonable admission price and see some big names from the music world to boot? Leave the car at home, jump on their free shuttle bus, get there early to go on the rides, sample the food and visit the lifestyle stalls and then head into the Big Top, get down the front and put your hands in the air for some great local and well known acts!!!

We secretly hope that they get Symphonic Ibiza back from 2019 – they absolutely smashed it and people are still talking about their performance now….it was epic!! We also loved The Feeling who headlined Saturday in 2019. It was great to see bands like this play Chester is such a great event!

See you at the front!!!!
