We think that Simon’s ethos of Unintimidating Fine Dining is perfect for Valentine’s, and his seven course tasting menu (with wine flight and a cocktail on arrival) will satisfy the most insatiable appetites. Make a night of it with a deluxe King Room at Hotel Indigo – and we most definitely suggest breakfast in bed …

Smack bang in the city centre is The Pied Bull – and we’re betting you haven’t seen their stunning bedrooms yet? Now – we can speak from personal experience when we tell you that Upstairs at The Grill is a great place to book in for Valentines, because we’ve done exactly that for the last two years! This year their £120 package includes a choice of either USDA Special Butcher Cuts Board or Chateaubriand for two – plus a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne – available from Mon 10th – Sun 16th Feb. Very highly recommended.

For something really special with first class entertainment, then we recommend Opera Grill. If music is the food of love .. Opera Grill have got it all going on this Valentine’s with the perfect package – dine from a very special set menu and enjoy complimentary live music from Lindsay Dracass & band.
